Penitas Mission Trip
Penitas Student Mission Trip - June 9-14 This year, we have taken on the challenge to build a house from the ground up! The cool thing about this trip is that it will be first of several trips that our church will take to get the house completely built. Our students will grow closer to the Lord and each other on this trip. They will see first hand what missional living is all about. Spring Bible Study - Prodigal God 6 week class begins Sunday, March 24-April 28th and is from 9-10 am. Join us as we look at the essential message of Jesus, locked inside his most familiar parable of the Prodigal son. Within that parable, Jesus reveals God's prodigal grace toward both the irreligious and the moralistic. Make sure you are with us! Childcare available birth through 5 years old by RSVP. Night of Prayer
On June 2nd at 5PM we are going to meet in the worship center for prayer. If the times are indeed as bad as we say they are...if the darkness in our world is growing heavier by the moment... if we are facing spiritual battles right in our own homes and churches... then we are foolish not to turn to the One who supplies unlimited grace and power. Seeking His face in prayer is vital to our church and every person that calls themselves a Christian! Please make plans to be with us!
Book and Puzzle Drive
During the month of May we will be collecting Books & Puzzles for our Preschool Ministry. Please bring Christian based books and Educational puzzles. We need donations for ages 0-6 years of age, Babies through Kindergarten. Suggested Authors: Lisa T. A prayer request from a neighbor: "My boyfriend of 6 years Johnathon Ortega is 23 and has renal failure and is going on dialysis today. He is also not insured so that has put just an extra strain on things. Please pray for healing and for answers. We Have been there since Friday and nothing has been found out as to why this is happening. He also has heart failure but that has been taken care of (praise God). We may be having a bbq fundraiser for him sometime in the near future to help raise some funds to help cover these costs that he is having to pay out of pocket."

Pray for my friend Chuck as he battles cancer. He seems to have lost his will to fight and is going into a depression. He has been the caregiver for his wife Kathy as she is confined to a wheelchair with MS. He can no longer care for her. We have been friends for 35 years and they live in Ohio. Pray for me as I emotonally support this family and also as I emotionally and physically support my friends Alan and Vicki (who live here) as Vicki is in HOPSICE care for her cnacer.

He has no current job prospects there, but knows that the Lord wants him to be there to care for his elderly parents. My father 82 years old was admitted to hospital last Wednesday after collapsing near his home,He is still in the hospital as of today in Harlingen Texas, Test results came back stating he has 2 carotid arteries that are 75% blockage, he has to have surgery, but the underlining problem that was found was his years of alcohol abuse is absorbing all his nutrients, because he has not been eating right, he also, has another addiction which both have consumed him with denial, and he is out of control with his spending habits. My sister, brother and I went there this weekend, talked to him in love, prayed with him, but he made an ultimate choice to stay there alone, instead of accepting our offer to bring him to Houston so be could be near him, and get him the help he needs.

My uncle, Clem, has stage 4 lung and colon cancer. He has gone through all the chemo that he can. He is experiencing pain now, but is refusing to contact his dr. He is a believer. Please pray for his pain level to lesson and for him to seek pain medications from his doctor, for his wife and son and family. Thank you

Our grandson, Leo LLagostera, will be in the hospital today undergoing a procedure to repair his clef palette. Please pray for the Lord to be with the doctors. Update - Boriskie dad
I have an update on my dad...thank you all for your prayers! He went to the doctor and found that he has arthritis in his neck area. He has been working on airplane instruments his whole life, so his job included a lot bending his head down over the instrument. So arthritis just crept in, and he is now sitting down lower so he doesn't have to bend his neck so much. He is doing better, thank you again! Blessings, James
