One Thing / Not many

Psalm 27:4 – One thing I ask of the Lord and this is what I’ll seek, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold his beauty, and to enquire in his temple. God’s Presence is the one thing King David wanted above all else. It was more important than temporal and superficial things. King David was known as a man after God’s own heart because his number one priority was to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord. He was so in love, so enthralled with the beauty of God that all he wanted to do was to be in, gaze upon, and understand God’s presence.

As Christians we need to have the same mindset. We don’t need to preoccupy our minds with many things. We just need one thing. That one thing is to fall in love with JESUS! If we do that I guarantee the rest will fall into place.
