We are literally on the cusp of a new year- 2010. Needless to say, 2009 wasn’t at all what I thought it would be. There were some amazing ups, a huge valley, and a lot of other things in between. I’m thankful for the Lord’s many blessings, his provision for the valley, and that I can trust him to make sense of the final story.
In a way, this is a Happy New Year’s blog as I want to wish our church family, my friends and family, and anyone reading this a Happy New Year. I know that we’re not guaranteed happiness- but I do hope and pray for you a New Year based on our Lord’s never-ending grace and goodness. And as you pursue that, his Kingdom will grow and you will be happy.
For those who have walked the last 6 weeks with us, I found this blog post that I think is amazing in its content, perspective, honesty, and help. Wade Burleson is pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Enid, OK. Read it and be blessed:

Love to you all- looking forward to 2010.

Happy New Year to you too, Joe!
As for tonight, go Rockets! =P
Rockets are the thorn in my flesh. I will continue to ask the Lord to take it away…
