Intellectual Rejection

As we looked at John 7:40-52, I mentioned several books in our time together that might help when you are engaged with someone who professes intellectual reasons to not believe in God/Christ. The titles and authors weren’t super clear, so I wanted to get these out to anyone interested.

BTW- 2 things. 1) We defined apologetics as an intentional effort to try and soften the intellectual rejection of Jesus. 2) I would say that these books are definitely classic and most would make my list of top “apologetic” works, but its prob not exhaustive and they aren’t listed in any order.

Pick one up this week, read it, learn, be challenged, grow, enjoy- and pray who the Lord of the harvest would have you go and give that book to.

For his glory-
Pastor Joe

Excellent post, Pastor. I am reminded of St. Augustine’s statement; “When we pray we are talking to God, but when we read, He is talking to us.”
