Uganda team finally in Uganda

Well, we arrived safe and sound in Uganda this morning. Our plane landed at 7:30am local time, and we got through immigration in record time. All of our luggage made it, including all of our trunks. I was pleasantly surprised that no one even asked us to open our luggage, or tried to take something for themselves.

Pastor Henry picked us up in a bus that we loaded down with all of the stuff we brought. Thanks to the Lord, Henry brought a big enough vehicle! ;)

We made the 2 hour drive from the Entebbe airport to Henry’s church. It was a lively drive, but we still managed to fall asleep in route. Once we got to Henry’s, we instantly shot into high gear. Brian and James sang a few songs for the church service, and I preached. To say the least, we were running on fumes. The service was very cool though. It was great to see the church building in person that we had only seen pictures of. There were probably 400 people in attendance, an was FULL.

The girls are at a women’s conference at the moment, serving any way they can. They are going to be doing some Bible dramas, and then distributing most of the soap that we brought.

After the scheduled events, we are going to have some time to relax. It is MUCH needed. Even as I am typing this, my eyelids are winning the battle, and it is taking all I have to put together a full sentence…

I will update soon! Keep praying for us! Pray for rest and clarity.

In HIM,

pastor matt
