Everyday Sunday

Everyday Sunday

The purpose of our worship on Sunday is to give glory to God but how do we live our lives daily with that same goal in mind?

Get your hands dirty for the glory of God!

Fulfill Micah 6:8 by getting involved in the following ways:

1. Second Mile – Volunteer office # (281) 261-9199 / Second Mile was founded in 1990 by a group of local men and women who were concerned with the need of those less fortunate in our community. Initially supported primarily by a local church and it’s congrega-tion, in 2002 Second Mile became Second Mile Mission Center – an independent non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Second Mile is now a community hub supported by many local churches, organizations, business and individuals.

2. CASA - Casey Davis, Volunteer Services Team Leader, (281) 344-5172 / CASA Volunteers advocate for a child’s emotional, physical and educational needs while they are in the care of the child welfare system with the goal of helping them find a more stable life in a safe and permanent home.

3. Helping Hands – Volunteer Office # (281)-232-4904 / Rosenberg-Richmond Helping Hands is a non-profit organization formed by area churches to help people in crisis by providing basic needs on a short-term basis. Our goal is to provide assistance temporarily until the individual or family becomes self-sufficient.

4. Living Water – Volunteer online at www.water.cc/living-water/volunteer-form / Nearly 21 years ago, we set out to help the church in North America be the hands and feet of Jesus by serving the poorest of the poor. More than a billion people in the world live on less than a dollar a day. 884 million people lack access to safe drinking water. For all practical purposes, these statistics refer to the same people; around the world, communities are trapped in debilitating poverty because they constantly suffer from water-related diseases and parasites, and/or because they spend long stretches of their time carrying water over long distances. In response to this need, we implement participatory, community-based water solutions in developing countries. Since we started, we’ve completed more than 10,000 water projects (and counting!) for communities in 26 countries.
