Who saves us? This one!

Who comes to rescue us from our sin? Who comes to save us from the wrath of God? Who comes to destroy the enemies of death, sin and Satan?

According to Genesis 3:15, its this one. This one seed. This one child, born of a woman. This one promised child.

According to Isaiah and Matthew, this one is Jesus.

Melito, a bishop who lived in Sardis (modern day Turkey), wrote about this Jesus almost 2000 years ago. He was talking specifically about Easter and about the death and resurrection of Christ. At this time of year, we focus on the birth of Christ and how his birth was when salvation entered history.

Who will save us? Thanks to Bishop Melito, we know its this one- the great Jesus! Read and celebrate our great Savior this Christmas!

“But he arose from the dead and mounted up to the heights of heaven. When the Lord had clothed himself with humanity, and had suffered for the sake of the sufferer, and had been bound for the sake of the imprisoned, and had been judged for the sake of the condemned, and buried for the sake of the one who was buried, he rose up from the dead, and cried aloud with this voice: Who is he who contends with me? Let him stand in opposition to me. I set the condemned man free; I gave the dead man life; I raised up the one who had been entombed.

Who is my opponent? I, he says, am the Christ. I am the one who destroyed death, and triumphed over the enemy, and trampled Hades under foot, and bound the strong one, and carried off man to the heights of heaven, I, he says, am the Christ.

Therefore, come, all families of men, you who have been befouled with sins, and receive forgiveness for your sins. I am your forgiveness, I am the passover of your salvation, I am the lamb which was sacrificed for you, I am your ransom, I am your light, I am your saviour, I am your resurrection, I am your king, I am leading you up to the heights of heaven, I will show you the eternal Father, I will raise you up by my right hand.

This is the one who made the heavens and the earth, and who in the beginning created man, who was proclaimed through the law and prophets, who became human via the virgin, who was hanged upon a tree, who was buried in the earth, who was resurrected from the dead, and who ascended to the heights of heaven, who sits at the right hand of the Father, who has authority to judge and to save everything, through whom the Father created everything from the beginning of the world to the end of the age.

This is the alpha and the omega. This is the beginning and the end–an indescribable beginning and an incomprehensible end. This is the Christ. This is the king. This is Jesus. This is the general. This is the Lord. This is the one who rose up from the dead. This is the one who sits at the right hand of the Father. He bears the Father and is borne by the Father, to whom be the glory and the power forever. Amen.”

Merry Christmas!

You’re asking who would save us? There is only one redeemer who ever lived on this earth. He lived on this earth from 3 BC to 31 AD without any sin and died at Calvary to redeem us from sin that all those who believe in Him will get eternal life to live in God’s eternal City called the New Jerusalem. That man is called JESUS CHRIST. He’s my friend, the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings (his seal). Soon he’ll return to this fallen earth with 101,000,000 angels on a cloud to lift up his followers, his disciples. “Jerusalem” means “hereditary seat of peace”. The New Jerusalem will be called “Hereditary Seat of the Peace of God”. The New Jerusalem [2400 km (1491 miles) long and 2400 km (1491 miles) wide] will situate on a hill at the end of a 2667 km (1657 miles) wide valley created by God when He’ll devide Mount of Olives [Zechariah 14, 4].
On 14th Nisan 1871 BC Jacob came down from Canaan with 66 members of his family (together with Joseph, his wife and his two sons 70 persons) to Egypt.
On 14th Nisan 1441 BC after the Passover God led the people of Israel out of Egypt.
On 14th Nisan 31 AD Jesus Christ died as the lamb of God on Calvary. Jesus Christ is born at 14th Tishri 3BC.
On 14th Nisan 31 AD Jesus Christ opened the scroll sealed with seven seals. The seven seals are seven time periods. There are only a few years, when the seventh seal is opened. Jesus Christ then will return to earth for a short time. But his feet will never touch this earth of sin again.
What a friend we have in Jesus, All our sins and griefs to bear! What a privilege to carry Ev’rything to God in pray’r! O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear, All because we do not carry Ev’rything to God in pray’r!
Kindest regards from good old Germany from where the tribes of Germans (also the tribe of Anglosaxons belonging to YOU) where spread all over the Western Globe.
