Sanctity of Human Life- Do Something!!

Our Life Group ended our discussion last night with the question, “What can we do?” We spent a considerable amount of time trying to figure out how we can make a difference for at least one mother who might be considering abortion and at least one baby who might not otherwise be born. If they are really babies, and if abortion really is murder, and we really are Christians- how can we not do something??

Below are some of the resources we pointed our people to after worship on Sunday. This isn’t exhaustive by any means, but its a place to start. Pray and ask the Lord how you are to get involved- then do something for the little ones that can’t help themselves.

40 Days for Life- http://40daysforlife.com/stafford/ Join other Christians all over the world who will stand in the gap in prayer for the unborn. This prayer event runs from February 22-April 1, 2012. Go to the website for more info.

www.Abort73.com- a creative and forthcoming approach to abortion issues, education and activism.

Pregnancy Resource Center- www.prcfortbend.org. Volunteer, give resources, pray, find a way to support this local ministry. A no-cost Christian counseling and resource center for women considering abortion. Our church is seeking how best to partner with them going forward.

Women’s Pregnancy Center- www.wpchouston.com In Houston off 59 and Bissonet. Another no-cost Christian counseling center for women considering abortions.

Adoption and Orphan Care- www.houstonsfirst.org/legacy685 A Houston-based organization that assists Christians in ministering to otherwise unwanted orphans and adoptive children. A must if we are to be truly pro-life!

There will be more to come on these issues and opportunities in the days/weeks/years ahead. We know the Lord is calling TSF to be actively involved in impacting the tragic loss of life through abortion and we’ll be obedient to asking him to show us exactly how. We’re asking for your prayers toward that and your willingness to follow however the Lord leads.

May he use The Sanctuary Fellowship to glorify his name and to spread his fame as we love the unlovable, fight for those who can’t fight for themselves, do justice, love kindness and walk humbly with our God.
