Pastor Henry and Mary Ssevviiri – Uganda, Africa

Pastor Henry Ssevviiri and his wife Mary serve at Life Giving Stream Tabernacle Church. Henry was the associate pastor under Pastor Zachariah Sserwadda of Evangel Church in Lugazi 2, until 1998 when he and Mary felt led of the Lord to plant “Life Giving Stream Tabernacle Church”  in Njeru, Uganda close to the Nile River.
Both Henry and Mary were brought up in Uganda in very poor conditions. Today they give all the glory to God for being so gracious to them. God is using their upbringing to change the lives of so many! Not only does Henry pastor a local church but he also has a heart to see pas-tors from the villages get Bible training as most will never receive any formal training in the Word of God.
Pastor Henry was assigned to Rev. Ken Galyean of “Call to Africa” as the primary interpreter for a leadership conference and crusade in 1995. Later, when Henry made his first visit to the US, he formed a partnership with Rev. Ken Galyean. That partnership now works to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to train the indigenous leaders of Uganda. Since this partnership began they have seen the Lord do amazing things in Africa! Teams from the US began coming and resources were being sent regularly to the remote villages of Uganda, Kenya, Su-dan, Rwanda and the border of Congo.
As this ministry grew both Mary and Ken’s wife, Renate, began to get involved with the intention of placing their focus on the women, widows and orphans of Uganda. Mary has partnered with Beth Green of God is Grace Ministries, and Renate started the Sarah and Joseph Foundation, which focuses on empowering women with vocational training, piggery, and other business opportunities. They are working towards community transformation as the Lord reveals credible leaders to work with.

Innovative Missions
Innovative was founded in 1998 by Jerry Squyres. From 1995 to 1998 Jerry led teams to open countries where the people had some Christian influence in their culture. They understood to some degree the truth about Jesus. They could understand a Gospel presentation and make a response to it.
In 1998, after several trips to closed countries it became clear that a new approach had to be taken. It became clear that each country was different, that needs of the people were different and that responding to those needs created open doors for evangelism. The new approach gave birth to Innovative Mission Opportunities.
Innovative:
partner with missionaries and national pastors/evangelists, discover specific needs/strategies, and mobilize teams for those needs/strategies. In every country, every ethnic group, and every village, the needs are different and changing. While the truth of the Gospel never changes, the strategies and methods must change.
Mission:
there is only one mission…”to seek and save the lost…” Every strategy and every method must have a strong focus on this mission as given by Jesus in Luke 19:10.
Opportunities:
they are as numerous as the countries, the ethnic groups, the villages, the people who have not yet heard the name of Jesus.
Innovative Mission Opportunities is a 501c3 non-profit organization and receives no state or federal funding. It is solely through tax-deductible gifts from individual contributors, corporations, foundations, churches and various other community organizations, as well as fund raising events and product sales that Innovative Mission Opportunities is able to reach the unreached so “that all may hear.”
