God taught me the true meaning of friendship and love. He taught me that even when people ignore you and take advantage of you, you can still stand out and be a true follower of Him. It doesn’t matter if not one cares about you. All that matters is Him and His love. As His love counters any worldly love you must have to deal with. He also taught me loss is important to care about. Life is important, no matter who it is. He told me to respect people, including parents, even when they are completely wrong or unfair. And yes, memories are both good and bad, but at the end of the day, all memories are important.

God showed me through a dream one year before the division of my company was shut down and even who would tell me and when. It came to pass and God opened the door for me to immediately transition to a new job for me to be able to not miss one day of work. More than a job, more than the money, it was a very real testament of God’s provision, His faithfulness and His reminder that He cares about the little things that are so big to us. He is a good God!

During the darkest times of my life when I couldn’t “walk” on my own, God literally “carried” me. Always turn to God whether you are grieving or confused or joyful. He’s waiting, providing and carrying. And no one is too heavy.

Answered prayer: When my Mom was in the hospital, I prayed she would be OK and she is.

When I thought all my dreams were taken away for college, God opened doors so I could go my second year. And because I had to wait that one year, I met my husband and best friends. I didn’t understand it then, but now I see God’s provision and plan were there all along.

God’s mercy has not only shown me the power of forgiving others, but more importantly, the ability to forgive myself. If you can’t forgive your past and your sins, how are you to move forward? God has shown me the importance and wonderful life of putting my past/mistakes behind me and living a new day every day to follow Him.

The Holy Spirit prompted me to pray for my sister at the exact time her car crashed into a median while go 30 mph. No one in the full capacity car was hurt. The Lord God is our Protector! Praise Him unceasingly!

Although my Dad worked non-stop, I can remember when he would take time off and we would go camping for a weekend with my youth group. In that weekend, my Dad and I would sit together on top of this mountain and just pray, spend time together and memorize God’s word. Those weekends will forever sit in my memory as a time when God worked on our relationships, both together and independently. My father’s love showed me how to better love the Father in heaven.

You saved an orphan with no home, no name, no family, no hope, no future. You provided money when my son was in the hospital. You kept us safe and alive through many moves. You gave me an amazing wife and family. You healed my daughter as an infant from an unknown infection.

Traveling with a Youth Conference, sharing the gospel with a man that was a custodian at the concourse who witnessed God’s movement through me to reach him. God giving me the perfect words to speak to this man, to move his heart toward God. Witnessed the immediate change in his heart from drugs to Jesus Christ. He strengthened my own faith by sharing the gospel with this man, through Gods’ strength and wisdom.

In December 2009, my husband walked out, away from our family. He wanted a divorce. The only thing I knew to do was pray. I never gave up on our family, my husband, but most of all God! On March 9, 2010, God restored my family! My husband was baptized on April 25, 2010! God is Good. He still answers prayers!

The day I went to church to ask God to set me free from loneliness and to guide me in the right path.

God put missions on my heart, but my potential first big trip fell through last week. On Wednesday, the rest of my team left without me and I was so depressed…but that day God called me to the beach and an old friend met me there. We walked along the beach as the sun set, and it was so beautiful and peaceful. I just knew that God had brought me there, and in that beautiful moment, it just felt as though…as though the world was OK for a little while like crime stopped for an afternoon. It just always means so much to me that God comes and comforts you…lets you know that He loves you, even when you feel broken.

God took a lonely, angry, bitter young girl in 1991 and saved me and made me a new creation. He replaced my anger with love, fatherless with a Father that has been with me until this day (today). He has continued to be with me through hard times and good times. I know that He will never leave me or forsake me. He is my Healer, Provider, Father to the fatherless, there when you feel you are all alone. He is everything to me until death. He is my Father!!

Unhappy, always feeling alone, always wanting more and more was never enough. Something missing, a hole needed to be filled and I could never find what it was. God was the one that filled that hole; made me happier than I have ever been. When I turn from Him, I’m back to wanting and feeling unhappy. He is the only true happiness! Love is found in Him!

When Dad lost his job and didn’t work for over a year, God provided daily for us. We didn’t have a lot financially, but we were never without food. We were able to meet bill payments, yet still have health, shelter and people that cared about us and my job.

  35. Anonymous says:

When it seems you’ve lost everyone and everything, God will be there to provide. You just have to have faith and trust. Never give up. Never surrender.

God’s faithfulness & grace: A minister and his wife had 13 children, one of which is my father. He married at 17 and she was 15. They lived their first 15 years as non-believers and a marriage doomed to fail; filed for divorce 13 times, but they had a mother and father who had faith in their/our God that He would save their children. My grandma got sick with leukemia and became very ill. On her death bed, she confessed and thanked God for the salvation of her son and the plan and will He had for him. Grandma died and a year later at the age of 33, Dad accepted Christ’s call into his life. He had 3 children, of which 2 chose to rebel. Dad never gave up. He loved unconditionally and because of that love, God’s love, all 3 children are now saved. With 2 children of my own now, and we all struggle spiritually from time to time, but the legacy of God’s love and faithfulness, my family has raised us which is what I will hold on to, for although at times I don’t see, I still believe. My faith is in God!

I thank God for delivering to me a Godly woman for a wife. And for her entire family that has been a blessing to me.

I will always remember the day of my baptism in the water of the ocean and the symbol it represents. I can never thank the Lord enough for saving me.

Through the confusion of thinking we knew exactly what our future was supposed to look like, we were devastated when our plans did not pan out exactly as we had envisioned them. The loss of a baby, the future at a job and having to move out of the home we thought we would be in for several years. Through it all, God was faithful and provided for us and over time revealed His perfect plan was for us.

I had graduated from college and was looking for a job teaching. My best friend and I came to Houston for a job fair. He went back to Oklahoma with a job and I was empty-handed. But what I didn’t know was God was working. There was a principal in the Houston area that knew God and God told him to call me if he had an opening at his school. Well, 3 days before school started a teacher that had taught at that school for 25 years left. Well, that principal called me and hired me on the spot. God had a plan. My best friend became my husband one year later.

Life in the Dallas area was great — good jobs, great home, friends, close to home with family all around. Then we were called to Sugar Land. It was a difficult decision to make such a move. We did after much prayer and planning. When we got here, things just fell into place. God blessed us through it all. Now we have good jobs, great home, more friends than ever and many still back in Dallas. We have a wonderful church where we can still be serving God as He has been so faithful to provide. We are so blessed. Praise Him!

God radically saved me at 13. My friend began or was beginning to do drugs, and even join gangs. But to save me from that lifestyle, He first saved me. Glory to God!

God allowed me to meet my beautiful wife at church.

    God saved my family.

God brought us to The Sanctuary. I was skeptical about joining this church, but it has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. Praise God!

God has amazingly used this church to build my brother-in-law into a man of God while doing the same in me.

The messages preached at this church have penetrated my heart and have helped me see God’s light and purpose for my life.

We can tell our children about how God answered our prayer for them and our family. After a long journey of infertility, we were waiting on another pregnancy test result. All week He prepared me through His word — “wait.” In worship, He reminded me to praise Him — no matter what. Another disappointment came, but I felt His loving care. We praised. We waited. He moved. Now we have 4 children to share His love, faithfulness, grace — His gift to us.

By walking with God and trusting in His grace and mercy, I have had the strength to become a Christ-focused mother and I have been exceedingly blessed despite unplanned, out-of-wedlock pregnancies. Out of shame, I have found hope and salvation. With Him and through Him, all things are possible. I may not have planned to be a Mom, but he had other plans and He has provided and I know He will continue to provide.

When I was 17, God called me to serve Him. I was radically saved. God was not a “gentleman” to me, but after all my rebellion, I finally gave into His persistent call to my life.

I met my husband at church — the most amazing man!

During our first two years of marriage, my husband went through a deep depression, but God brought him and I through. We saw a different side of God’s love through it.
